HEALTH JOURNALISM AND PUBLIC HEALTH COMMUNICATION COHORT II GRADUATION

On 29th August 2025, the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) Graduate School proudly celebrated the graduation of 10 health journalists from its 8-week Health Journalism and Public Communication Program.

The programme, hosted by the KEMRI Graduate School, is a collaborative effort between CLEAN-Air Africa, the University of Liverpool, and Willow Health Media. Over the course of two months, it equipped participants with practical skills in science and health reporting, empowering them to communicate research and public health issues with clarity, accuracy, and impact.

The colorful graduation ceremony was graced by Ms. Christine Nguku, OGW, Assistant Director, Training and Curriculum Development at the Media Council of Kenya, who represented the CEO. She applauded the initiative and encouraged graduates to use their voices to drive positive change in society.

The day also brought together the KEMRI Graduate School leadership, course coordinators, facilitators, moderators, and guests in recognition of the vital link between health, media, and the public.
