FY2024 PHASE Online Exchange Program

Overview

Nagasaki University's PHASE program is a collaboration between Nagasaki University, Japan, and 4 Kenyan institutions. The program objectives are to:

  1. Promote education, research, and human resource development aimed at addressing and contributing to global issues.
  2. Acquire a borderless perspective and thinking through collaboration between Japanese and African universities.
  3. Nurture and produce the next generation of human resources with advanced problem-solving skills for the realization of Planetary Health.

The University in partnership with KEMRI Graduate School seeks to recruit Three (3) students to participate in the PHASE Online Exchange Program for 8 days from 18th February 2025 to 28th February 2025.

Application Procedure:

Interested candidates are required to submit an application to KEMRI Graduate School and attach the following documents;

1) Curriculum Vitae

2) Description of the ongoing project (title, objectives and current status)

3) SERU research study approval

4) Academic/provisional transcript.

5) Copy of National ID

Educational Requirements
Ongoing MSc. or Ph.D. students at KEMRI Graduate School who have completed their coursework and currently doing their research project. English qualifications: TOEIC 650+, IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL iBT 65+ is recommended. These English qualifications are required as a good level of English is needed to understand and have confidence for communicating with others during the course. Moreover, the purpose of this course is to not improve or learn English. The purpose of this course is to use English as a tool for communication to learn about how to become an intercultural bridge person.
